To ratify the Protocol on Amendments and Additions to the Protocol to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on checkpoints across the Kazakh-Uzbek State Border dated September 4, 2006, signed in Astana on August 8, 2024.

Protocol
on amendments and additions to the Protocol to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on checkpoints across the Kazakh-Uzbek State Border dated September 4, 2006
The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, hereinafter referred to as the Parties,
in order to coordinate international (multilateral) checkpoints that promote the development of communication between the two countries,
Guided by article 1 of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Checkpoints across the Kazakh-Uzbek State Border dated November 16, 2001 (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement),
have agreed on the following:
Article 1
The following amendments and additions should be made to the List of checkpoints across the Kazakh-Uzbek state border, which is an annex to the Protocol to the Agreement signed on September 4, 2006:
In the section "Railway checkpoints", paragraphs 2 and 2.1 should be worded as follows:

The note of paragraph 13 of the section "Automobile checkpoints" should be worded as follows:
"*The checkpoint is used only for the passage of passenger vehicles and empty (empty) trucks, as well as bulky and (or) heavy goods and goods. The passage of goods and goods for commercial purposes, as well as the performance of customs operations related to the placement of goods under customs procedures or the termination of the customs procedure in respect of goods, could only be carried out with respect to bulky and (or) heavy goods and goods.";
Add the following note to paragraph 14 of the section "Automobile checkpoints":
"** The checkpoint is used only for passenger vehicles and empty trucks. The passage of goods and goods for commercial purposes is not carried out. Customs operations related to the placement of goods under customs procedures or the termination of the customs procedure in respect of goods are not carried out.".
Article 2
This Protocol shall enter into force on the date of receipt of the last written notification that the Parties have completed the internal procedures necessary for its entry into force.
This Protocol is valid until the termination of the Agreement.
Done in Astana, on August 8, 2024, in two original copies, each in the Kazakh, Uzbek and Russian languages, all texts being equally authentic.,
In case of disagreement in the interpretation of the provisions of this Protocol, the Parties will refer to the text in Russian.
