Article 242. Labeling of medicines and medical devices Code on the Health of the People and the Healthcare System of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Article 242. Labeling of medicines and medical devices Code on the Health of the People and the Healthcare System of the Republic of Kazakhstan

     Russian Russian and Kazakh languages 1. Medicines must be marketed with labels printed on the packaging (primary and/or secondary) in a clearly legible font in Kazakh and Russian, and instructions for medical use (leaflet) in Kazakh and Russian languages.

     The labeling texts and instructions for medical use (leaflet) must comply with the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Languages in the Republic of Kazakhstan".

     2. For medical professionals, the general characteristics of the medicinal product approved during state registration are posted on the Internet resources of the authorized body and the state expert organization in the field of circulation of medicines and medical devices.

     3. Medical products must be put into circulation with a label applied directly to medical products and (or) on the packaging, and instructions for medical use or an operational document for a medical product in Kazakh and Russian.

     The texts of the labeling, instructions for medical use or the operating document for a medical device must comply with the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Languages in the Republic of Kazakhstan".

     4. The rules for labeling medicines and medical devices are approved by the authorized body.

     The procedure for drawing up and executing instructions for the medical use of medicines and medical devices, as well as the general characteristics of the medicinal product, are determined by the authorized body.

     The footnote. Article 242 as amended by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 29, 2021 No. 94-VII (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).
