Article 264. Rational use of medicines Code on the Health of the People and the Healthcare System of the Republic of Kazakhstan

     1. The rational use of medicines is carried out to improve the quality of medical care and treatment outcomes through the development of a formulary system.

     2. The formulary system ensures the optimal use of safe, effective, cost-effective medicines. The activity of the formulary system is carried out in accordance with the procedure determined by the authorized body.

     3. Healthcare organizations ensure the rational use of medicines, the training of clinical pharmacologists, clinical pharmacists, and regular professional development of healthcare professionals in the rational use of medicines.
