Article 253. Import of medicines and medical products, as well as biological material from preclinical (non-clinical) and clinical studies, standard samples of pharmaceutical substances (active pharmaceutical substances) and their impurities into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for personal use and other non-commercial purposes Code on the Health of the People and the Healthcare System of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Medicines and medical devices are imported into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan without the permission of the authorized body if they are intended for:
1) personal use by individuals;
2) treatment of passengers and crew members of vehicles, train crews and drivers of vehicles arriving in the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union;
3) treatment of participants in international cultural and sporting events and participants in international expeditions.
2. In the cases provided for in paragraph 1 of this Article, it is allowed to import into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan medicines and medical devices that are not registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. Biological material of preclinical (non-clinical) and clinical studies, standard samples of pharmaceutical substances (active pharmaceutical substances) and their impurities are imported into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan without the permission of the authorized body.
4. The biological material of preclinical (non-clinical) and clinical studies, standard samples of pharmaceutical substances (active pharmaceutical substances) and their impurities are imported into the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.:
1) manufacturers of medicines and medical devices;
2) foreign manufacturers of medicines and medical devices, their authorized representative offices (branches) or their trusted individuals and legal entities;
3) scientific research organizations, laboratories in the field of healthcare, education and science.
