Article 539. Comprehensive psychological, psychiatric and psychological examination of a minor CPC RK Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. In cases of juvenile delinquency, it is mandatory to conduct a psychological and psychiatric examination to determine the ability of the suspect or the accused to account for his actions and direct them in situations established in the case, his sanity, and the presence (absence) of a mental disorder that does not exclude sanity.
2. A psychological examination may be ordered to determine the level of intellectual, volitional, mental development, and other psychological personality traits of a minor suspect or accused.
