Article 8-1. Guardhouses of the Law On the Procedure and Conditions of Detention of Persons in Special Institutions, Special Premises providing Temporary Isolation from Society
1. Guardhouses are equipped at the military police bodies of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan and are their structural subdivisions.
2. The decision on the establishment, reorganization and liquidation of guardhouses is made depending on their departmental affiliation, respectively, by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. The procedure and organization of the activities of guardhouses are determined by the charter of the garrison and guard services of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law defines the legal basis for the activities of special institutions and special premises that legally provide temporary isolation from society, and also establishes the rights and obligations of the persons contained therein.
