Article 3. Currency legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan The Law on Currency Regulation and Currency Control
1. The currency legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and consists of this Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, decrees of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as regulatory legal acts of currency regulation bodies and currency control bodies issued in accordance with the competence established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. The norms of international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan are directly applied to the relations specified in Article 2 of this Law, except for cases when it follows from an international treaty of the Republic of Kazakhstan that the adoption (publication) of a regulatory legal act of the Republic of Kazakhstan is required for the application of such norms.
If an international treaty ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan establishes rules other than those provided for by this Law, the rules of the international treaty shall apply.
This Law regulates public relations related to the implementation of currency transactions, defines the goals and objectives of currency regulation and currency control.
