Article 4. Term of office of the President of the Republic of the Constitutional Law On the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. The President of the Republic is elected for a term of seven years.
1-1. The powers of the President of the Republic elected in early elections shall be exercised until the President of the Republic elected in regular elections takes office, which must be held seven years after the early elections on the first Sunday in December.
2. The powers of the President of the Republic shall terminate upon the assumption of office of the newly elected President of the Republic, as well as in the event of the early release or dismissal of the President from office, or his death.
