On the appointment of early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 21, 2022 No. 1019.

In accordance with paragraph 3-1 of Article 41 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I HEREBY DECREE:

1. To appoint early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for November 20, 2022.

2. The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall ensure the organization and holding of early presidential elections.

3. The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan should take the necessary measures to provide organizational, logistical and financial support for the early presidential elections.

4. The akims of Astana, Almaty, Shymkent and the regions should ensure the timely compilation and reliability of lists of citizens who have the right to vote, and provide all possible assistance to the Central, territorial and precinct election commissions in resolving issues related to the organization and conduct of early presidential elections.

5. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of its first official publication.
