Article 11. Information in the military field classified as state secrets of the Republic of Kazakhstan Chapter 3. Information related to the State secrets of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the Law on State Secrets
State secrets in the military field include:
1) information disclosing plans for the use of troops, operational plans, combat management documents, documents of the state defense plan, documents on bringing troops to various degrees of combat readiness;
2) information on the strategic deployment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) information on the development, strength, combat strength or number of troops, their combat readiness, as well as on the military-political and (or) operational situation;
4) information revealing the state of operational (combat) training of troops, the security of their activities, the composition and (or) the state of command and control systems;
5) information on the mobilization deployment of troops, the mobilization of human and transport resources, the mobilization deployment management system and (or) the possibilities of recruiting troops, providing weapons, military equipment and other material, financial resources, as well as military transportation;
6) information revealing directions, long-term forecasts or plans for the development of weapons and military equipment, the content or results of targeted programs, research, development work on the creation or modernization of weapons and military equipment, their tactical and technical characteristics;
7) information revealing the directions of development, design, manufacturing technology, isotopic composition, combat, physical, chemical or nuclear properties, the procedure for the use or operation of weapons and military equipment;
8) information disclosing production facilities, planned or actual data on the production and (or) supply (in kind) of bacterial or medical protection products;
9) information revealing achievements of nuclear science and technology that are of important defense and economic importance or determine a qualitatively new level of capabilities for creating weapons and military equipment and (or) fundamentally new products and technologies;
10) information revealing the properties, formulation or technology of production of rocket fuel, ballistic powders, explosives or explosive devices for military purposes, as well as new alloys, special liquids, fuels for weapons and military equipment;
11) information disclosing the location, valid names, organizational structure, armament, number of troops not included in the list of facilities subject to public announcement in accordance with the international obligations of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
12) information on the use of the infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the interests of ensuring its defense capability and security;
13) information on the location, purpose, degree of readiness or security of sensitive facilities that do not fall under the obligations of the Republic of Kazakhstan under international treaties, on the selection, allocation of land, subsoil or water areas for the construction of these facilities, as well as on planned or ongoing exploration, design and other work to create these facilities. The same information applies to special facilities of state authorities;
14) information on the use or prospects for the development of the interconnected communication network of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the interests of ensuring the defense capability and security of the state;
15) summary information with diagrams and descriptions containing geographical coordinates of main long-distance communication lines, including spare communication nodes leased by the Government, the Ministry of Defense, the National Security Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, indicating data on their capacities;
16) information disclosing the distribution or use of radio frequency bands by radio-electronic means for military or special purposes;
17) information revealing the organization or functioning of all types of communications, radar, and radio engineering support for troops;
18) information disclosing the content, organization or results of the main activities of the Border Guard Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
19) information revealing the directions of development of dual-use facilities, technologies, content, results of targeted programs, research and (or) development work on the creation or modernization of these facilities, technologies;
20) information on the use of dual-use equipment and technologies for military purposes;
21) information on the prospects for the development and (or) use of the space infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the interests of ensuring its defense capability and security;
22) information revealing the state and (or) directions of development of hydroonautics in the interests of defense and security of the state.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 15, 1999 N 349-1.
This Law defines the legal framework and a unified system for the protection of state secrets in the interests of ensuring the national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan, regulates public relations arising in connection with the classification of information as state secrets, their classification, disposal, protection and declassification.
