Article 18. Protection of information transmitted prior to the conclusion of a comprehensive business license agreement of the Law on Comprehensive Business License (Franchising)
1. Prior to the conclusion of the complex business license agreement, the complex licensor transmits to the potential complex licensee information about the complex of exclusive rights transferred for use in the event of the conclusion of the agreement. At the same time, the integrated licensor is obliged to warn the potential integrated licensee about the confidential commercial nature of the transmitted information.
2. A potential integrated licensee may not disclose the information provided to him in accordance with paragraph 1 of this article without the written permission of the integrated licensor. In case of disclosure of the specified information, the potential integrated licensee is obliged to compensate the losses caused to the integrated licensor in accordance with the civil legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates relations related to the implementation of a comprehensive business license (franchising), defines the content of a comprehensive business license agreement and is aimed at the development and state support of franchising activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
