Article 19. Protection of information transferred under the Complex Business license agreement of the Law on Complex Business License (Franchising)
1. Information transmitted under a comprehensive business license agreement, which is of a confidential commercial nature, is protected by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan subject to the conditions stipulated by the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. The integrated licensee and the integrated licensor are obliged to take joint measures to ensure the confidentiality of the information specified in paragraph 1 of this article.
3. In case of disclosure of the specified information, the integrated licensee is obliged to compensate the losses caused to the integrated licensor in accordance with the civil legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
4. State bodies and their officials may not require access to confidential commercial information transferred under a comprehensive business license agreement, except for information necessary to perform supervisory, control, registration and other functions in accordance with the legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates relations related to the implementation of a comprehensive business license (franchising), defines the content of a comprehensive business license agreement and is aimed at the development and state support of franchising activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
