Article 6. Protection of the State Border of the Law On the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. The protection of the State Border consists in ensuring the national security of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the border area and is carried out by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and authorized bodies by taking political, legal, organizational, economic, border, military and other measures within their competence.
Citizens and organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan may participate in the protection of the State Border.
2. The following regimes are introduced within the border area in order to protect the State Border:
1) State border regime;
2) the regime at the checkpoints;
3) border regime;
4) the regime of internal and territorial waters;
4-1) Fishing zone mode;
5) the regime of the continental shelf.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 16, 2013 No. 70-V.
This Law regulates public relations in the field of protection of the State border of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
