1. Seasonal foreign workers are employed in certain sectors of the economy in accordance with international treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan, or on the basis of permits issued to employers by local executive bodies to attract foreign labor within the quota on the terms and in accordance with the procedure determined by the authorized body on migration.

2. Employers who attract seasonal foreign workers are obliged to provide them with temporary housing that meets sanitary, epidemiological, technical and other mandatory requirements in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on housing relations.

3. Entry visas for seasonal foreign workers are issued by foreign institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of permits to attract foreign labor.

4. Temporary residence permits for seasonal foreign workers who have arrived from countries that have concluded visa-free entry and stay agreements with the Republic of Kazakhstan are issued by the internal affairs bodies.

5. Seasonal foreign workers are required to:

1) be of legal age;

2) present a medical certificate confirming the absence of diseases that impede work activity;

3) have medical insurance covering primary health care and specialized inpatient medical care in an emergency form on the terms determined by the agreement of the parties, in compliance with the minimum requirements established by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of population migration, defines the legal, economic and social foundations of migration processes.
