Article 3. Basic principles of the creation and operation of a consumer cooperative of the Consumer Cooperative Act
Consumer cooperatives operate on the basis of the following principles:
voluntary entry and exit;
the obligation to pay a property (share) contribution;
democratic governance;
mutual assistance and protection of the interests of its members;
accessibility of information about the activities of the consumer cooperative for all its members;
equality of its members.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 8, 2001, No. 197.
This Law defines the legal status of consumer cooperatives, the organizational, economic and social conditions of their creation, operation, reorganization and liquidation, the rights and obligations of members, the powers and responsibilities of management and control bodies.
