Article 9-1. Conditions for connecting net consumers to the networks of energy transmission organizations and selling electric energy to energy supply organizations of the Law on Support for the Use of Renewable Energy Sources

1. The energy supply organization is obliged to conclude a standard contract for the purchase and sale of electric energy with the net consumer when connecting it to the networks of the energy transmission organization as a consumer.

2. The energy transmission organization is obliged to ensure the unhindered connection of the net consumer to the electrical network of the energy transmission organization at a point located on its side before dividing the boundaries of a small-scale facility owned by the net consumer.

3. The net consumer pays to the energy supply organization serving him at its current tariff the amount of electric energy consumed by him during the billing period from the electric grid minus the volume supplied to the electric grid for the same period.

In case of excess of the amount of electric energy supplied by the net consumer to the electric grid during the billing period over the amount of electric energy consumed by him during the same period from the electric grid, the energy supply organization shall pay the net consumer the above excess amount at its marginal price (without differentiation by consumer groups).

The purchase and sale of electric energy from net consumers by an energy supply organization is carried out in accordance with the rules for the purchase and sale of electric energy from net consumers.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 4, 2009 No. 165-IV.

This Law defines the goals, forms and directions of support for the use of renewable energy sources, as well as regulates the mechanism for supporting energy waste disposal and the use of secondary energy resources.
