1. Consumers of electric energy have the right to:

1) receive electric energy in accordance with the concluded agreements;

2) to demand from energy-producing, energy-transmitting and energy-supplying organizations compensation for real damage caused by the non-delivery or supply of substandard electric energy, in accordance with the terms of concluded contracts;

3) apply to the court to resolve disputes related to the conclusion and execution of contracts;

4) make payments for consumed electricity according to differentiated tariff accounting systems in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. Consumers of electric energy are obliged to:

1) to maintain the proper technical condition of electrical and power installations and commercial metering devices owned by consumers, to comply with the requirements for their technical condition in accordance with the regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of electric power industry;

2) comply with the energy consumption regimes defined by the contract of purchase and sale of electric energy;

3) comply with regulatory requirements aimed at maintaining the standard frequency of electric energy in the unified electric power system of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

4) timely pay for the released, transferred and consumed electric energy in accordance with the concluded contracts;

5) to allow employees of energy supply and energy transmission organizations to access commercial metering devices, as well as employees of the state energy supervision and control body, authorized representatives of local executive bodies to monitor the technical condition and safety of operation of electric and power installations.

3. Excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 12.11.2015 No. 394-V (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 9, 2004 No. 588.

This Law regulates public relations arising in the process of production, transmission and consumption of electric energy.
