Article 13. Military training of citizens in the programs of reserve officers and sergeants of the reserve in organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education The Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel

1. Military training of citizens under the reserve officers program is carried out on a gratuitous and paid basis, the reserve sergeants program is carried out on a paid basis in organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Defense based on the mobilization needs of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations, as well as the need to accumulate a military-trained reserve.

1-1. The procedure for military training of citizens in the programs of reserve officers and sergeants of the reserve is determined in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Military training practice is conducted using the educational, material, and technical base of military units (institutions) and military educational institutions.

2. Citizens who have completed a full course of military training in the programs of reserve officers and reserve sergeants are awarded the military rank of "reserve lieutenant" or "reserve sergeant", respectively, in accordance with the procedure established by the Rules of Military Service.

3. For the organization of military training of citizens according to the programs of reserve officers and sergeants of the reserve, the Ministry of Defense develops and approves:

1) rules of activity of the military department (military faculty);

2) the list of military training programs at the military Department (military Faculty);

3) rules for the organization of the educational process at the military department (military faculty).

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 16, 2012 No. 561-IV SAM.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of military service by citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and defines the foundations of the state policy on social security for military personnel.
