Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 7, 2007 No. 374
I DECREE :
1. To approve the attached draft Protocol on amendments to the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Azerbaijan on the transfer of persons sentenced to imprisonment for further serving their sentences dated June 10, 1997.
2. To authorize the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Rashid Toleutayevich Tussupbekov, to sign on behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Azerbaijan on the transfer of persons Sentenced to Imprisonment for further serving their sentences dated June 10, 1997, with the right to make amendments and additions to it that are not fundamental.
3. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of signing.

DRAFT Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Azerbaijan on the transfer of persons sentenced to imprisonment for further serving their sentences
The Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Azerbaijan, hereinafter referred to as the "Parties", have agreed to amend the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Azerbaijan on the Transfer of Persons Sentenced to Imprisonment for Further Serving their Sentences dated June 10, 1997 (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement) as follows: paragraph 6 of Article 1 should read as follows: "6. "Central authorities" - state bodies that, in accordance with the national legislation of the Parties, make decisions on the transfer of persons sentenced to imprisonment for further serving their sentences.". This Protocol is subject to ratification and enters into force in accordance with the procedure provided for in article 23 of the Treaty. This Protocol is an integral part of the Agreement. It's been done ___ _________ 200_ years in the city __________ in two copies, each in Kazakh, Azerbaijani and Russian languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of disagreement in the interpretation of the text of this Protocol, the Parties will refer to the text in Russian.
