Article 173. Procedure for the application of compulsory treatment to persons with tuberculosis who have been released from serving their sentences of the Criminal Executive Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan

1. Tuberculosis patients released from the institution who pose a danger to others who have not completed a full course of treatment while serving their sentence, after being released by court decision, are subject to compulsory treatment in specialized tuberculosis organizations at the place of release.
2. The administration of the institution in respect of the persons specified in the first part of this Article, no later than one month before the end of the sentence, shall send to the court at the location of the institution a submission on the appointment of compulsory medical treatment.
3. Notices of release from institutions of persons with tuberculosis, in respect of whom compulsory treatment has been established by a court decision, are sent to specialized tuberculosis organizations at the place of release and internal affairs bodies.
