Article 427. Evasion from serving a sentence of imprisonment of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Non-return to an institution of the penal enforcement (penitentiary) system of a convicted person who is allowed to leave the place of deprivation of liberty for a short time after the expiration of the period of departure, as well as a convicted person who enjoys the right to travel without escort or under supervision, committed with the aim of evading further serving of a sentence of imprisonment, –
is punishable by imprisonment for a term of up to two years.
2. Evasion of a person convicted of criminal offenses against the sexual integrity of minors, as well as convicted persons recognized as needing treatment for mental and behavioral disorders (diseases) related to the use of psychoactive substances, from applying compulsory medical measures to them –
is punishable by imprisonment for a term of up to one year.
