1. The main objectives of the preventive conversation are to identify the causes and conditions of domestic violence, explain the social and legal consequences of domestic violence and convince of the need for law-abiding behavior.

2. A preventive conversation is conducted by the subject of the prevention of domestic violence with a person who has committed domestic violence or against whom there are grounds for taking measures for the individual prevention of domestic violence.

3. A preventive conversation is conducted in the office premises of subjects of the prevention of domestic violence, as well as at the place of residence, study, work, or directly at the place of commission of domestic violence and may not last more than one hour.

4. The person with whom the preventive conversation is conducted is warned about the need to stop illegal actions.

5. Preventive conversation with a minor is conducted in the presence of his parents, teachers or other legal representatives.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 4, 2009 No. 214-IV.

This Law defines the legal, economic, social and organizational bases of the activities of state bodies, local governments, organizations and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the prevention of domestic violence.
