Article 23. Measures of procedural coercion and security measures in criminal proceedings The Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence

     1. In order to prevent domestic violence, which constitutes a criminal offense, and to ensure the safety of the victim, witness, and other persons involved in criminal proceedings, their family members, and close relatives, the authorities conducting criminal prosecution and conducting criminal proceedings apply procedural coercion and procedural security measures.

      2. The grounds for the application of procedural coercion and procedural security measures, the procedure for their application, the rights and obligations of persons involved in criminal proceedings are determined by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

 

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 4, 2009 No. 214-IV.

     This Law defines the legal, economic, social and organizational bases of the activities of state bodies, local governments, organizations and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the prevention of domestic violence.
