Prevention of domestic violence is based on the principles of:

1) legality;

2) guaranteeing the observance of human and civil rights, freedoms and legitimate interests;

3) the inadmissibility of causing physical and (or) mental suffering to a person and a citizen;

4) support and preservation of the family;

5) confidentiality;

6) individual approach to each person and citizen in need of special social services;

7) the priority of preventive measures for the prevention of domestic violence over repressive;

8) complexity and consistency.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 4, 2009 No. 214-IV.

This Law defines the legal, economic, social and organizational bases of the activities of state bodies, local governments, organizations and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the prevention of domestic violence.
