Article 4. Types of domestic violence The Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence
1. Domestic violence can be expressed in the form of physical, psychological, sexual and (or) economic violence.
2. Physical violence is the intentional infliction of harm to health through the use of physical force and infliction of physical pain.
3. Psychological violence is the deliberate impact on a person's psyche, humiliation of honor and dignity through threats, insults, blackmail, or coercion (coercion) to commit offenses or acts that pose a danger to life or health, as well as leading to impaired mental, physical, and personal development.
4. Sexual violence is an intentional unlawful act that encroaches on a person's sexual integrity or sexual freedom, as well as acts of a sexual nature towards minors.
5. Economic violence is the deliberate deprivation of housing, food, clothing, property, and funds to which a person has a legally prescribed right.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 4, 2009 No. 214-IV.
This Law defines the legal, economic, social and organizational bases of the activities of state bodies, local governments, organizations and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the prevention of domestic violence.
