In order to ensure the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of children, the Commissioner for Children's Rights:

1) considers appeals concerning violations of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of the child, and complaints about decisions or actions (inaction) of state central and local executive bodies and organizations, enterprises, and their officials that violate the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of the child;

2) assists in the unhindered realization and restoration of violated rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of the child;

3) develops and submits recommendations to the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on improving the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

4) has unhindered access to state bodies and organizations of education, health and social protection systems, culture and sports, as well as institutions of the penal system where minors are held;

5) has unhindered access to documents of state and public institutions dealing with children's rights;

6) performs other powers assigned to him by this Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan and acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

7) coordinates the activities and organization of interaction of the 111 contact center on family issues, protection of women's and children's rights with state and public institutions.

The procedure for the activities of the regional commissioner for children's rights of the region, the city of republican significance, the capital is approved by the authorized body in the field of protection of children's rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law regulates relations arising in connection with the realization of the fundamental rights and legitimate interests of the child, guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, based on the principles of prioritizing the preparation of children for a full-fledged life in society, the development of socially significant and creative activity in them, the education of high moral qualities, patriotism and citizenship, the formation of national identity based on universal human values. values of the world civilization.
