Article 60. The right of a child to live and be raised in a family of the Marriage (Matrimony) and Family Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Every child has the right to live and be raised in a family, the right to know his parents, the right to be cared for by them, and the right to live with them, except in cases where this is contrary to his interests.
A child has the right to be raised by his parents, to ensure his interests, comprehensive development, and respect for his human dignity.
In the absence of parents, in the case of deprivation or restriction of their parental rights and in other cases of loss of parental care, the child's right to upbringing in the family is ensured by the body performing the functions of guardianship or guardianship, in accordance with the procedure established by Chapters 13, 15 and 18 of this Code.
