Article 540. Placement of a minor in an organization that performs the functions of protecting the rights of a child in accordance with the law, or placing him under the patronage of the CPC RK Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan

     In cases where, due to the conditions of life and upbringing, a minor suspect cannot be left in his former place of residence, he may, by decision of the body conducting the criminal proceedings, with the participation of guardianship and guardianship authorities, be placed for residence for the period of criminal proceedings in an organization that performs the functions of protecting the rights of the child in accordance with the law, or given under patronage.
