Article 70. The rights and obligations of parents in the upbringing and education of a child of the Marriage (Matrimony) and Family Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Parents are obliged to take care of their child's health.
2. Parents have the right and the obligation to raise their child.
Parents have a preferential right to raise their child over all other persons.
Parents who raise a child are responsible for providing the necessary living conditions for his physical, mental, moral and spiritual development, and the formation of law-abiding behavior.
3. Parents are obliged to ensure that the child receives compulsory secondary education.
Parents, taking into account the child's opinion, have the right to choose the organization of education and the form of education of the child before he receives a general secondary education.
4. All issues related to the upbringing and education of a child are resolved by the parents by their mutual consent based on the interests of the child and taking into account his opinion. If there are disagreements between parents, they have the right to apply for the resolution of these disagreements to the body performing the functions of guardianship or guardianship, or to the court.
