Article 196. The procedure for state registration of the birth of a found, abandoned (rejected) child of the Marriage (Matrimony) and Family Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. The birth of a found, abandoned (rejected) child must be registered at the request of the internal affairs bodies, the body performing the functions of guardianship or guardianship, the administration of the educational organization or the medical organization in which the child is placed, no later than seven days from the date of discovery, refusal or abandonment.
The application shall be accompanied by a protocol or act drawn up by the internal affairs body or the body performing guardianship or guardianship functions, indicating the time, place and circumstances in which the child was found; a document issued by a medical organization confirming the age and gender of the found child, and other personal information about the child.
2. In case of refusal of a child in a medical organization, the administration of this organization takes measures to issue a written application to the mother in accordance with the form established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. In the case of abandonment of a child by an unknown mother, the administration of a medical organization draws up a protocol in the presence of two witnesses. In case of state registration of birth, protocols are attached to the application of an official of a medical organization for registration of an abandoned (rejected) child.
