Article 166. Duties of the administration of the institution to assist in the labor and household arrangements of the released convicts of the Criminal Executive Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. No later than one year before the expiration of the sentence of imprisonment, the administration of the institution shall notify the local executive bodies, the internal affairs bodies of the capital, region, city of republican significance, district, or city of regional significance at the place of residence chosen by the convict about their upcoming release, the availability of housing for them, their ability to work, and their available skills.
At the same time, the administration of the institution draws up an individual program for the convict in terms of the amount of social and legal assistance necessary for social adaptation after release, which is sent to the local executive body at the place of residence chosen by the convict.
2. Organizational and educational measures are carried out with the convict in order to prepare him for release, his rights and duties are explained.
3. Persons with disabilities of the first or second group, as well as men over sixty-three years of age and women over fifty-eight years of age, upon their written application and submission by the institution, are sent by the social protection authorities to medical and social institutions (organizations) for the elderly and persons with disabilities.
Other persons in need of social assistance, upon their written application and presentation of the institution, are sent to social adaptation centers.
