Article 32. The concept and types of hunting Chapter 5. Hunting of the Law on the Protection, Reproduction and Use of Wildlife
1. Hunting is a type of special use of the animal world, in which the species of animals that are the object of hunting are removed from their habitat.
The search, tracking and harassment for the purpose of extraction, the attempt to obtain objects of the animal world, the presence in hunting grounds of specially protected natural territories of persons with uncovered hunting weapons and other hunting implements or hunting products, with hunting dogs released from a leash, and hunting birds of prey are equated to hunting.
2. Hunting is divided into the following types:
1) commercial hunting;
2) amateur (sports) hunting, including national hunting.
3. Commercial hunting is the extraction of species of animals that are the object of hunting for the purposes of entrepreneurial activity.
4. Amateur (sports) hunting is the extraction of species of animals that are the object of hunting in order to satisfy sporting, aesthetic needs and for personal consumption of the obtained products.
National hunting is the unarmed extraction of species of animals that are the object of amateur (sports) hunting, using hunting birds of prey and dogs of Kazakh breeds.
5. Hunting is carried out in designated hunting grounds, unless otherwise established by the authorized body.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife, as well as the conservation and reproduction of Kazakh dog breeds and is aimed at ensuring conditions for the conservation of wildlife and its biological diversity, sustainable use of wildlife in order to meet environmental, economic, aesthetic and other human needs, taking into account the interests of present and future generations..
