Article 12. Basic requirements for the protection of wildlife Chapter 3. Protection of wildlife of the Law on the Protection, Reproduction and Use of Wildlife
1. Activities that affect or may affect the state of wildlife, habitat, breeding conditions and migration routes of animals must be carried out in compliance with requirements, including environmental requirements, ensuring the preservation and reproduction of wildlife, its habitat and compensation for damage caused and inflicted, including unavoidable.
2. When carrying out activities that affect or may affect the state of wildlife and habitat, the following basic requirements must be met::
1) preservation of biological diversity and the integrity of animal communities in a state of natural freedom;
2) preservation of habitat, breeding conditions, migration routes and places of concentration of wildlife;
3) scientifically based, rational use and reproduction of objects of the animal world;
4) regulation of the number of objects of the animal world in order to preserve the biological balance in nature;
5) reproduction of wildlife, including artificial breeding of animal species, including valuable, rare and endangered, with their subsequent release into the habitat.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife, as well as the conservation and reproduction of Kazakh dog breeds and is aimed at ensuring conditions for the conservation of wildlife and its biological diversity, sustainable use of wildlife in order to meet environmental, economic, aesthetic and other human needs, taking into account the interests of present and future generations..
