Article 8. Competence of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife, as well as in the field of conservation and reproduction of Kazakh dog breeds The Law on the Protection, Reproduction and Use of Wildlife

Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

1) develops the main directions and ensures the implementation of state policy in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife, as well as in the field of conservation and reproduction of Kazakh dog breeds;

2) exercises the rights of ownership, use and disposal of wildlife;

6) decides on the live export of individuals of sturgeon species of fish caught from their natural habitat and their fertilized eggs outside the Republic of Kazakhstan;;

7) decides on the withdrawal of rare and endangered species of animals, their parts or derivatives;

8) approves the list of rare and endangered animal species and transfers them to other categories;

9) imposes restrictions on international trade in rare and endangered species of animals, their parts and derivatives bred in captivity and (or) semi-captive conditions;

10) carries out international cooperation in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife;

11) approves the rules for the use of special equipment and service weapons by state inspectors for the protection of wildlife and inspectors of specialized organizations for the protection of wildlife, as well as the use of service weapons by rangers;

12) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 04/19/2023 No. 223-VII (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication).

This Law regulates public relations in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife, as well as the conservation and reproduction of Kazakh dog breeds and is aimed at ensuring conditions for the conservation of wildlife and its biological diversity, sustainable use of wildlife in order to meet environmental, economic, aesthetic and other human needs, taking into account the interests of present and future generations..
