Article 52. The rights and duties of officials exercising State control and supervision in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife of the Law on Protection, Reproduction and Use of Wildlife
1. Officials exercising state control and supervision in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife have the right:
1) to visit facilities in order to monitor compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife, as well as to receive information on the activities of users of wildlife in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.;
2) to issue acts within the limits of the powers granted by this Law;
3) transfer the inspection materials to law enforcement agencies for making a procedural decision;
4) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 05/24/2018 No. 156-VI (effective ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication);
5) to determine the amount of damage caused as a result of violation of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife, and on the basis of this, to make claims to the perpetrators for voluntary compensation for this damage or to file a lawsuit in court;
6) to consider cases of administrative offences in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife in accordance with the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offences;
7) to stop vehicles and floating means in the territories of hunting grounds, fishing ponds and (or) sites and their coastal strip, as well as in specially protected natural territories and when leaving them, to inspect them;
7-1) inspect water intake and discharge facilities for the presence of fish protection devices and their compliance with established requirements;
7-2) inspect documents for the right to use wildlife from persons located in hunting grounds and fishing ponds and (or) sites, the coastal strip and when leaving them.;
8) seize tools for the illegal extraction of wildlife and swimming, vehicles for temporary storage until a court decision is made and (or) for transfer to law enforcement agencies as part of an operational response;
9) to seize illegally obtained objects of the animal world, their derivatives and products of their vital activity in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
10) to seize firearms used in violation of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife for temporary storage until a court decision is rendered;
11) for the storage, carrying and use of special equipment and service weapons in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
12) detain and bring to law enforcement agencies persons who have committed illegal seizure of wildlife.
2. Officials exercising state control and supervision in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife are required to monitor:
1) compliance with the rules of hunting and fishing;
2) compliance with the rules of hunting and fishing;
3) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 05/24/2018 No. 156-VI (effective after ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication); 4) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 05/24/2018 No. 156-VI (effective after ten calendar days after the date of its first official publication);
5) compliance with the established restrictions and prohibitions on the use of wildlife;
6) implementation of measures for the protection, reproduction and use of wildlife;
7) observing the procedure for the introduction, reintroduction, and hybridization of animals;
8) compliance with norms and regulations in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife;
8-1) fulfillment by individuals and legal entities of the terms of the contract for the management of hunting and fishing farms;
8-2) observing the order of keeping, breeding in captivity and semi-free conditions of rare and endangered species of animals and species of animals subject to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, as well as the creation of Zoological collections;
9) compliance with other requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife.
3. Officials exercising state control and supervision in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife are provided with uniforms with insignia (without shoulder straps).

This Law regulates public relations in the field of protection, reproduction and use of wildlife, as well as the conservation and reproduction of Kazakh dog breeds and is aimed at ensuring conditions for the conservation of wildlife and its biological diversity, sustainable use of wildlife in order to meet environmental, economic, aesthetic and other human needs, taking into account the interests of present and future generations..
