Article 52. The Statute of the Bar Association The Law on Advocacy and Legal Assistance
1. The statute of the bar association should provide for:
1) the name, subject and objectives of the bar association;
2) the rights and obligations of the members of the bar association;
3) the procedure for admission to membership of the Bar Association, suspension and termination of membership;
4) the structure of the bar association, the formation procedure and the competence of its bodies;
5) the procedure for the establishment and operation of legal consultations;
6) sources of property formation and the procedure for its disposal;
7) the procedure for payment of membership and target fees;
8) the procedure for lawyers to provide state-guaranteed legal aid and the procedure for distributing legal aid among lawyers as appointed by the court and the criminal prosecution authorities;
9) the procedure for the certification of lawyers based on the regulations on the procedure for the certification of lawyers;
10) disciplinary responsibility of members of the bar association and interns of lawyers and the procedure for bringing them to it;
11) the procedure for initiating a petition for the preparation of a statement of claim for the termination of a license to practice law;
12) the procedure for the reorganization and liquidation of the bar association;
13) the fate of the property during the liquidation of the bar association.
2. The charter of the bar association must contain provisions reflecting the requirements of Section 1 of this Law and this section, and may also contain other provisions that do not contradict the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
