Article 15. Provision of personal protective equipment, self-defense, communications, technical means and weapons Law on State Protection of Persons Involved in Criminal Proceedings
The authorities implementing security measures may provide protected persons with personal protective equipment, self-defense, communications, as well as technical means to record illegal encroachments and alert them of danger.
To the persons listed in the sub-paragraphs 1), 3), 4), 5) and 6) of the first part of Article 3 of this Law, weapons may also be issued, including service, combat or self-defense weapons. The storage, carrying and use by protected persons of weapons issued to them are carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The procedure for issuing, types of personal protective equipment, self-defense, communications, hazard warnings and technical means are determined by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 5, 2000 No. 72.
This Law establishes a system of State measures to protect the life, health, property, legitimate rights, and interests of persons participating in criminal proceedings, their family members, and close relatives, and to ensure their safety in order to prevent unlawful interference in criminal proceedings.
