Article 20. Recruitment of the Armed Forces of the Law on Defense and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. The personnel of the Armed Forces includes military personnel and civilian personnel.
2. The Armed Forces are being equipped:
1) military personnel by conscription of citizens for military service and by voluntary admission to military service in accordance with the legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2) civilian personnel in accordance with the labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on civil service.
3. For the mobilization deployment of the Armed Forces in the state, a reserve of military-trained reserve is being created.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of organization of defense and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the functions and powers of state bodies in ensuring the country's defense capability, the rights and obligations of citizens and organizations in the field of defense.
