Article 18. Powers of precinct election commissions of the Constitutional Law on Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan

     Precinct Election Commission:

     1) conducts electoral events at the polling station for the election of the President, deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament, maslikhats, akims and members of other local self-government bodies;

     2) notifies voters about the location of the precinct election commission;

     3) clarifies the list of voters at the relevant polling station;

     4) familiarizes citizens with the list of voters, examines statements about errors and inaccuracies in the lists and decides on making appropriate changes to it.;

     4-1) takes the necessary measures to implement the electoral rights of citizens with disabilities;

     5) notifies the voters about the day, time and place of voting;

     6) prepares the premises, ensures the availability of booths and ballot boxes;

     7) organizes voting at the polling station on election day;

     8) conducts vote counting and determines the results of voting at the polling station;

     9) considers applications and complaints regarding the preparation and organization of voting and makes decisions on them;

     9-1) organizes explanations of election legislation; organizes and conducts training for participants in the electoral process; conducts seminars with representatives of political parties and other participants in the electoral process on the organization and conduct of elections;

     10) exercise other powers in accordance with the legislation of the Republic.
