Article 17. Precinct election commissions of the Constitutional Law on Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan
1. Precinct election commissions ensure the organization and conduct of elections of the President, deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament and maslikhats, akims, and members of other local self-government bodies at the relevant polling stations.
The relevant territorial election commission determines the number of precinct election commissions.:
1) from five to seven members if the number of voters in the relevant polling station is up to two thousand;
2) from seven to nine members if the number of voters in the relevant polling station exceeds two thousand.
The number of precinct election commissions must be odd.
2. The composition of precinct election commissions for the election of the President, deputies of Parliament and maslikhats, akims shall be published in the mass media no later than fifteen days later, and precinct election commissions for the election of members of other local self–government bodies - no later than seven days after the appointment or announcement of elections.
