Article 7. Competence of other state bodies and local executive bodies of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital in the field of production and turnover of organic products of the Law on Production and Turnover of Organic Products

1. The state body in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population:

1) carries out state control and supervision over compliance with the requirements established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of production and turnover of organic products at the stage of sale of organic products;

2) carries out the coordination:

list of permitted products used in the production of organic products;

rules of production and turnover of organic products;

3) exercise other powers provided for by this Law, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. Other state bodies in the field of production and turnover of organic products, within their competence, exercise state control in accordance with the Business Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

3. Local executive bodies of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital:

1) provide information to the public about the production and turnover of organic products;

2) provide assistance to producers of organic products in matters of production, sale of their products in the relevant administrative-territorial unit, as well as promotion of these products for export;

3) provide the authorized body in the field of production and turnover of organic products with information on the availability of seeds of agricultural plants and farm animals used for the production of organic products for inclusion in the register of seeds of agricultural plants and farm animals used for the production of organic products;

4) exercise, in the interests of local government, other powers assigned to local executive bodies by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This Law defines the legal, economic, social and organizational foundations of the production and turnover of organic products, aimed at the conservation and rational use of natural resources, assistance in the formation of a healthy diet and the development of the market of organic products.
