Article 7. Competence of the central executive bodies in the field of ensuring equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women of the Law on State Guarantees of Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities for Men and Women

The central executive bodies within their competence in the field of ensuring equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women:

1) participate in the implementation of the state policy on ensuring equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women;

2) excluded by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 07/03/2013 No. 124-V (effective after ten calendar days after its first official publication);

3) interact with government agencies and public associations on gender equality issues;

4) promote gender equality in personnel matters;

5) consider citizens' appeals concerning family issues, non-observance of equality between men and women;

6) cooperate with international organizations on gender equality issues;

7) exercise other powers provided for by the Constitution, other laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 8, 2009 No. 223-IV.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of ensuring State guarantees of equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women and establishes basic principles and norms concerning the creation of conditions for gender equality in all spheres of State and public life.
