Article 19. Exemption from the obligation to give evidence of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Administrative Offenses
1. No one is obliged to testify against himself, his spouse or his close relatives, whose circle is determined by law.
2. Clergymen are not required to testify against those who confided in them in confession.
3. The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan is not obliged to testify about the circumstances that have become known to him in connection with the performance of his official duties.
4. In the cases provided for in parts one, two and three of this article, these persons have the right to refuse to testify and cannot be held liable for this in any way.
