Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 14, 2001 No. 268

Article 1. The Republic of Kazakhstan should use the heraldic sign of the red crescent on a white background as the emblem and distinctive sign of the medical service of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Article 2. The Republic of Kazakhstan should withdraw the reservations specified in the resolution of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 31, 1993 "On the accession of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Geneva Conventions for the Protection of Victims of War of 1949 and Additional Protocols I and II of 1977 to the Geneva Conventions for the Protection of Victims of War."
