1. The territorial defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan is organized in order to protect the population, objects of territorial defense and the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan from enemy actions during mobilization, martial law and in wartime.

2. The tasks and measures of the territorial defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan are determined by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 7, 2005 No. 29.

This Law regulates public relations in the field of organization of defense and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the functions and powers of state bodies in ensuring the country's defense capability, the rights and obligations of citizens and organizations in the field of defense.
