Article 11. Competence of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan Of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan On Territorial Defense
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan within its competence:
1) develops regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of territorial defense;
2) coordinates the activities of the defense councils of regions, cities of republican significance, and the capital;
3) coordinates the actions of the forces and means of territorial defense;
4) plans the use of territorial troops and provides general guidance for their actions;
5) decides on the use of territorial troops outside the relevant territorial defense zones;
6) performs other functions in the field of planning the use and management of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, their interaction with other troops and military formations in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Territorial Defense dated June 30, 2025 No. 201-VIII SAM
This Law regulates public relations in the field of territorial defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
