The limitation period for the Hydrographic Support Service of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan for claims for reimbursement of expenses incurred in connection with the establishment of the location and designation of sunken property, and the maritime administration of the port for claims for reimbursement of expenses incurred in connection with the removal of sunken property, is three years from the date of determining the danger of sunken property in in accordance with the procedure established by the rules for the disposal of sunken property.
A claim cannot be filed after six years from the date when an emergency occurred, as a result of which the property sank.
If the accident consisted of a number of events, then the six-year period is calculated from the date of the first of these events.
