Chapter 1. General provisions

     1. Formation - the deployment of military personnel, units and units established by the Charter for their joint actions on foot and in vehicles.

     2. A line is a formation in which military personnel are placed next to each other on the same line and at established intervals.

A line of cars is a system in which cars are placed next to each other on the same line and at set intervals.

     3. Flank - the right (left) extremity of the formation. When the formation turns, the names of the flanks do not change.

     4. The front is the side of the formation to which the military personnel face (cars - the frontal part).

     5. The rear side of the formation is the side opposite to the front.

     6. The interval is the distance along the front between military personnel (vehicles), units and units.

     7. Distance - the distance in depth between military personnel (vehicles), units and units.

     8. The width of the formation is the distance between the flanks.

     9. The depth of the formation is the distance from the first rank (in front of the standing soldier) to the last rank (behind the standing soldier), and when operating on vehicles, the distance from the first line of vehicles (in front of the standing car) to the last line of vehicles (behind the standing car).

     10. A two-tier formation is a formation in which military personnel of one rank are positioned at the back of the head of the military personnel of the other rank at a distance of one step (an outstretched arm placed with the palm of the hand on the shoulder of the soldier in front). The ranks are called the first and second. When the formation is rotated, the names of the ranks do not change.

A row is two soldiers standing in a two-tier formation in the back of each other's head. If a soldier of the first rank is not standing behind a soldier of the second rank, such a row is called incomplete; the last row must always be full.

When the two-step formation turns around, the soldier of the incomplete row moves into the front rank.

Four soldiers or less are always formed in one line.

     11. Single-row (line) and double-row formations can be closed or open.

In a closed formation, military personnel in ranks are positioned at the front from one another at intervals equal to the width of the palm between the elbows.

In an open formation, military personnel in ranks are located along the front from one another at intervals of one step or at intervals specified by the commander.

     12. A column is a formation in which military personnel are positioned at the back of each other's heads, and units (vehicles) are located one after the other at distances established by the Charter or the commander.

Columns can be one, two, three, four or more. Columns are used to build divisions and units in a deployed or marching formation.

Four soldiers or less are always formed in a column one at a time.

     13. A deployed formation is a formation in which units are built on the same line along the front in a single-file or double-file formation (in a line of vehicles) or in a line of columns at intervals established by the Charter or the commander. The deployed formation is used for inspections, calculations, inspections, parades, as well as in other necessary cases.

     14. A marching formation is a formation in which a unit is built in a column or units in columns are built one after the other at distances set by the Charter or the commander.

The marching formation is used for the movement of units during a march, a solemn march, with a song, as well as in other necessary cases.

     15. A guide is a military man (unit, vehicle) moving head-on in the specified direction. The rest of the military personnel (units, vehicles) follow the guide.

The last one is a soldier (unit, car) moving last in the column.

1. Building management

     16. The control of the formation (in the car) is carried out by commands that can be given by the commander by voice, signals and personal example, as well as transmitted by technical means of communication.

Commands can be transmitted along the column through unit commanders (senior vehicles) and designated observers.

In the ranks, the senior commander is located where it is more convenient for him to command. The other commanders give commands, remaining in the places established by the Charter or the senior commander.

Unit commanders from a company and above in the marching formation of a battalion and brigade (regiment) are allowed to leave the line only to give commands and verify their execution.

     17. The team is divided into preliminary and executive teams; there can be only executive teams.

The preliminary command is given to enhance the attention of military personnel and prepare for the execution of the executive command clearly, loudly and in a long drawl, so that those in the ranks understand what actions the commander requires of them.

The executive command (printed in large type in the Charter) is given after a pause loudly, abruptly and clearly. The executive command is executed immediately and accurately.

In order to attract the attention of the unit or individual serviceman in the preliminary command, if necessary, the name of the unit or the rank and surname of the serviceman are called.

For example: "Platoon (3rd platoon) - STOP." "Private Alimov, captain."

When the commander (chief) addresses the unit and at the preliminary command, the military personnel who are in line on the spot take a drill stance, and when moving they move to a drill step. When the chief addresses a serviceman outside the ranks, he turns to face the chief and assumes a drill stance.

If the chief addresses a serviceman in the ranks by his military rank and surname, he responds: "I am," and when addressing only by military rank, the serviceman responds by naming his position, military rank and surname. At the same time, the position of the weapon does not change and the hand is not applied to the headdress.

When performing techniques with weapons, the name of the weapon is indicated in the preliminary command, if necessary.

For example: "Machine guns on the CHEST."

The voice when giving commands should be commensurate with the width and depth of the formation, and the report should be pronounced clearly, without a sharp increase in voice.

     18. The signals for controlling the formation and the signals for controlling the machine are specified in appendices 1__ and 2__ .

If necessary, the commander assigns additional signals to control the formation.

     19. Commands related to all units are accepted and immediately executed by all unit commanders and vehicle commanders (senior).

When transmitting a command, the signal "ATTENTION" is pre-indicated, and if the command refers to only one of the divisions, then a signal indicating the number of this division is given. The signals for unit numbers are set by the commander of the unit.

The readiness to accept a command is also indicated by the "ATTENTION" signal.

The receipt of the signal is confirmed by its repetition.

     20. To cancel or terminate the reception, the "SET ASIDE" command is given. With this command, the position that was before the reception is taken.

     21. During training, it is allowed to perform the drill techniques and movements specified in the Regulations by divisions, as well as with the help of preparatory exercises.

For example: "Machine gun on the chest, by divisions: do - ONE, do - TWO, do -THREE." "To the right, according to the divisions: do - ONE, do-TWO."

     22. When forming national teams, their combat calculation is carried out for divisions. For calculation, military personnel are lined up in a single-row or double-row formation and calculated according to the general numbering, as specified in paragraph 88 of this Statute. After that, depending on the size of the team, the calculation of companies, platoons and squads is carried out sequentially and the commanders of these units are appointed.

To participate in parades, as well as in other cases, a unit may be formed into a common column of three, four or more by order of the commander. In this case, the construction is carried out, as a rule, by ranking (height).

     23. The units are built by the command "STAND UP", before which the order of construction is indicated.

For example: "Squad, stand in one line."

At this command, the soldier must quickly take his place in the ranks, dial the set interval and distance, and take a drill stance.

24. When submitting commands for units of the types, branches of the Armed Forces and special forces of the Armed Forces, instead of the names "squad", "platoon", "company", "battalion" and "brigade" ("regiment"), the names of the units and units adopted in the types, branches of the Armed Forces and in the special forces of the Armed Forces are indicated..

     25. Units and divisions not specified in this Charter should be guided by its provisions, taking into account their organizational and staff structure.

Chapter 5. Build platoons, companies, battalions, and brigades (regiments) on machine1. General provisions

     142. In the deployed formation, the vehicles of the divisions and units are lined up in one line along the front in a line of vehicles, in a line of platoon or company columns at intervals and distances between vehicles and units established by the Charter or the commander.

At the same time, the personnel are on the vehicles or are lined up in front of the vehicles in a single-file or double-file formation, in a line of platoon or company columns so that the last rank is no closer than three steps in front of the vehicles (Fig. 35-38); the driver mechanics and drivers of the vehicles become part of their unit.

     143. In a marching formation, vehicles in a unit are lined up in a column or units in columns are built one after another at distances set by the Charter or the commander.

     144. Before boarding infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers, as well as cars and other vehicles in units, if necessary, military personnel and military equipment are calculated by vehicles and the method of landing is indicated.

Before boarding the personnel on the vehicles, it is checked whether the weapon is unloaded, and if the movement is carried out with a loaded weapon, whether it is secured; bayonets (bayonets) are unlocked (reclined).

     Cm. (paper version)

     145. Each car has an officer or sergeant in charge of the car, who is responsible for all personnel on the car, including the driver.

It is strictly forbidden for the driver of the car to take control of the car himself or force the driver to transfer control of the car to anyone, to give commands forcing the driver to violate the rules of the road and the set speed.

When transporting personnel by car, a senior officer is appointed to ensure compliance with discipline and safety measures.

The signals of the senior chief are monitored by the commander of the unit (the senior of the car), and in cars, in addition, by an appointed observer, who is located in the right front corner of the car body.

To monitor the fastening of the side locks of the car body during movement, "on-board" military personnel are assigned, sitting in the outermost seats at the front and rear sides.

A soldier sitting on the right seat at the aft wall (rear side of the vehicle) monitors vehicles coming from behind, towed military and other equipment, and the locking of the aft doors of an infantry fighting vehicle (right side of the rear side of the vehicle).

     146. At the command "To THE VEHICLES", personnel transported in an infantry fighting vehicle and in an armored personnel carrier, as well as by car and landing on a tank, line up at the vehicles, as shown in Fig. 39.      148. The boarding of personnel on vehicles is carried out:

     into infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers - through hatches;

on cars - through the right, left and rear sides; on

cars with a closed body - through the tailgate. Boarding

The transfer of personnel to other vehicles is made as convenient as possible.

Boarding cars on the right side of the road through the left side is not allowed.

     149. When boarding infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers, on the command "To the VEHICLES", designated military personnel open the aft doors (landing hatch covers) of the troop compartment; drivers open the rear sides of the vehicles, if necessary.

At the end of the landing, the aft doors (hatch covers, sides) are closed.

     150. At the command "TO YOUR PLACES", the units quickly take their places in the cars (Fig. 40, 41).

Wheels, tracks, and running boards are used for landing.

Weapons during landing are taken as convenient as possible in compliance with security measures, with the exception of machine guns and group weapons, which are handed over to the military personnel who landed or standing behind. After landing, the weapon is placed between the knees and supported with both hands. In addition, the submachine guns can be placed in the "chest" position at the command of the unit commander.

Duffel bags are removed at the command of the unit commander (senior vehicle) and placed in the car.

The commander of the unit (senior vehicle) monitors the correctness of the landing of personnel, and at the end of it checks the fastening of the door locks (hatches) and sides, after which he takes his place in an infantry fighting vehicle and in an armored personnel carrier on the seat of the commander of the vehicle, and in the car - next to the driver or at the command of the senior commander in the left front corner of the body the car.

If the place of the vehicle commander is occupied by a senior commander, then the squad or platoon commander is placed in the troop compartment of the vehicle.

     151. The crews of combat vehicles and tanks, at the command "TO THEIR PLACES", simultaneously turn around and quickly take their places through their hatches.

     152. Landing troops on the tank on site is carried out from the sides. If landing from the sides is not possible, it is carried out from the stern of the tank. At the same time, weapons are taken as convenient as possible, with the exception of machine guns and group weapons, which are handed over to the military personnel who landed or who are standing behind.

Military personnel are stationed on the tank in compliance with safety requirements.

The commander of the unit transported by the landing party, regarding compliance with the rules for landing personnel and placing them on tanks, follows the instructions of the commander of the tank unit and reports to him and his immediate superior about the end of the landing.

     Cm. (paper version)

     153. Before starting the movement of the unit (unit), the "START" command is pre-issued, according to which the engines of the machines are started and warmed up.

At the command "MARCH (FORWARD)", all vehicles begin to move simultaneously in the formation in which they were in place or reorganize at the command of the commander, taking the set distances and intervals on the move. If the distances between the cars in the column were no more than 10 m, the cars start moving in turn, gaining the set distances.

When determining the order and speed of movement, as well as rest stops, it is necessary to follow the instructions set out in the combat regulations.

The distances between cars depend on speed and driving conditions and can be 25-50 m on average.

To change the distances, the commands are given: "INCREASE THE DISTANCE", "DECREASE THE DISTANCE".

Turns in motion can be made sequentially behind the guiding machine (check-in) or simultaneously by all machines (divisions).

To turn around sequentially at the command "ATTENTION, DO AS I DO", the lead car turns around at a reduced speed and continues moving in the opposite direction parallel to the column. The rest of the cars, having reached the turning point of the head, also turn around and continue moving.

To simultaneously turn to the right (to the left, around), the command "ALL RIGHT (ALL LEFT, ALL AROUND)" is given. At the command "ALL TO THE RIGHT (ALL TO THE LEFT)", cars on the move simultaneously turn in the specified direction and continue moving in a new direction. At the command "ALL AROUND", each car stops without shortening the distance, turns around to the left and continues moving in the opposite direction.

If it is necessary to clear the road, the command "TURN RIGHT" is given by the column in motion. At this command, all cars in the convoy are simultaneously withdrawn from the carriageway and continue to move along the right shoulder or to the right of the road.

     154. The vehicles are stopped by the command "STOP", according to which the vehicles approach the vehicle in front and stop alternately at distances no closer than 10 m or at distances set by the commander.

Before stopping, the columns of cars are moved to the right shoulder or to the right of the road. Intersections, forks in roads, bridges, narrows, railway crossings, house entrances and courtyard entrances must remain free, even if the distances are violated.

If necessary, after stopping, the command "TURN OFF THE ENGINE" is given.

     155. The disembarkation of personnel from vehicles can be carried out:

     from combat vehicles - through hatches;

     from cars - through the right, left and rear sides;

from cars with a closed body - through the tailgate.

The disembarkation of personnel from other vehicles is carried out as convenient as possible.

Disembarkation from vehicles on the right side of the road through the left side is not allowed.

The command "To the CARS" is given to disembark from the cars.

For example: "Squad (platoon, company), through the right, left sides (tailgate) - To the CAR (To the CARS)."

At this command, the personnel quickly disembark from the vehicles and line up near them (Fig. 39) or act on the command of their commanders.

When disembarking from vehicles, weapons are taken as convenient as possible, and machine guns and group weapons are handed over to previously disembarked military personnel.

The senior assistant (deputy) Chief of Staff stands two steps in front of the flag officer and lowers his hand from his headdress; the drummer stops beating the drum.

As soon as the flag officer and his assistants take their place, the platoon commander, lowering his hand from his headdress, commands: "Platoon, to the right", and if the platoon had carbines in the "on guard" position, then pre-gives the command "Platoon, to the left" and then "To the right".CHO."

     216. Movement with the Battle Banner begins at the command of the senior assistant (Deputy) Chief of Staff, "Znamenshchik, follow me, step - MARCH." At this command, the senior assistant (Deputy) Chief of Staff, the flag officer and assistants begin to move in half a step. The znamenny platoon, at the command of the platoon commander, "Platoon, in a column of three (four), step - MARCH", is rebuilt on the move, as specified in paragraph 107 of this Statute. After the platoon is rebuilt, at the command of the senior assistant (Deputy) Chief of Staff, "STRAIGHT AHEAD" everyone continues to move at full speed.

The movement with the Battle Banner is carried out in a marching step in the following order: the senior assistant (deputy) chief of Staff, two steps behind him - the flag officer with his assistants, three steps behind the flag officer - the platoon commander; the drummer follows two steps behind the platoon commander, and two steps behind the drummer -platoon.

The drummer alarmist, when following the znamenny platoon, beats the "Marching March" and stops the battle with the beginning of the orchestra (drummer alarmists) playing.

     217. When the banner platoon with the Battle Banner approaches 40-50 steps to the brigade (regiment), the brigade commander (regiment) commands: "Brigade (regiment), under the Banner - ATTENTION, alignment to-the-RIGHT (to-the-LEFT, to-the-MIDDLE)", and if the brigade (regiment) is armed with carbines, the commander: "Brigade (regiment), stand at ATTENTION under the Banner. To meet on the right (left, from the front), on kara-UL)".

On the first command, the unit commanders from the platoon and above put their hand to their headgear; everyone turns their heads towards the Battle Banner and follows it with their eyes, turning their heads after it; the orchestra plays the "Counter March". At the second command, in addition, the carbines are placed in the "on guard" position (paragraph 69 of this Statute). If there is no orchestra with the brigade (regiment), drummer signalers, previously built in place of the orchestra, beat "Under the banner". The znamenny platoon stops at the left flank of the brigade (regiment) and, if the platoon is armed with carbines, takes them to the "guard" position at the command of the platoon commander. The flag officer and his assistants, under the command of the senior assistant (Deputy) Chief of Staff, continue to move to the right flank along the front of the brigade (regiment) and take their place in the formation (Fig. 33).

When the flag bearer is in place, the brigade (regiment) commander gives a signal to the orchestra (drummers) to stop the game (battle) and commands: "At ease", and if the brigade (regiment) had carbines in the "on guard" position, pre-gives the command "Brigade (regiment), to".

After the command of the brigade (regiment) commander, "At ease", the commander of the znamenny platoon takes the platoon to the left flank of the brigade (regiment).

     218. To carry the Battle Banner, the brigade (regiment) commander commands: "Znamenny platoon - FORWARD."

At this command, a banner platoon with a drummer signal officer is brought out in a column of three (four) and, going forward with the left shoulder, stops in front of the middle of the left-flank unit 20-25 steps away, facing the front of the brigade (regiment).

When the znamenny platoon stops, the brigade commander (regiment) commands: "Brigade (regiment), stand to ATTENTION under the Banner, stand to ATTENTION," and if the brigade (regiment) is armed with carbines, the commander: "Brigade (regiment), stand at ATTENTION under the Banner. To meet you on the right, on kara-UL."

At this command, the brigade (regiment) proceeds as indicated in paragraph 217 of these Regulations (the znamenny platoon is equal to the left); the orchestra plays the "Counter March" (the drummer signalers beat "Under the Banner"); the senior assistant (deputy) chief of staff commands the banner bearer: "Znamenny, follow me, step MARCH" and he leads him and his assistants along the front of the brigade (regiment) to the znamenny platoon.

When the banner bearer with the Battle Banner comes abreast of the banner platoon, the commander of the banner platoon commands: "Platoon, step forward, MARCH," and if the platoon is armed with carbines, pre-gives the command "Platoon, to the left" and then "To the right." The platoon follows the Battle Banner to the place of its storage.

When the znamenny platoon is 40-50 paces away, the brigade (regiment) commander gives the orchestra (drummer signalmen) a sign to stop playing (fighting) and commands: "AT EASE", and if the brigade (regiment) had carbines in the "on guard" position, he pre-gives the command "Brigade (regiment), to no-GE."

     219. Approaching the place where the Battle Banner is stored, the commander of the znamenny platoon lines up the platoon in the order specified in paragraph 214 of this Statute and commands: "Platoon, under the Banner - ATTENTION," and if the platoon is armed with carbines, commands: "Platoon, under the Banner - ATTENTION, on the kara-UL." According to these commands, the platoon acts as specified in paragraph 215 of this Charter. The drummer alarmist beats "Under the Banner". The senior assistant (deputy) chief of staff, putting his hand to his headdress, commands the flag officer: "Flag officer, follow me, step - MARCH" - and leads him and his assistants behind him. When the Battle Flag is brought into the room, the commander of the banner platoon lowers his hand from his headdress, the drummer stops beating the drum; if the platoon had carbines in the "on guard" position, the platoon commander gives the command "Platoon, to the left", then "To the right" and leads the platoon to the location of the company.
