I DECREE:
1. To establish the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Karuli Kushterine 20 zhyl".
2. Approve the attached: 1) Rules for awarding the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Karuli Kushterine 20 zhyl"; 2) description of the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Karuli Kushterine 20 zhyl".
3. This Decree shall enter into force from the date of signing.

awarding of the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Karuli Kushterine 20 zhyl"
1. These Rules regulate the procedure for awarding the jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Karuli Kushterine 20 zhyl" (hereinafter referred to as the jubilee medal). 2. The jubilee Medal is awarded to military personnel who are positively characterized in their service and who perform their military duty in an exemplary manner, who by May 7, 2012 were in military service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other persons who made a significant contribution to the construction of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 3. The procedure for the submission and consideration of applications for the award of the jubilee medal is determined by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 4. The jubilee medal is presented on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan by: 1) the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 2) the Chairman of the Committee of Chiefs of Staff of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Deputy Ministers of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 3) heads of structural divisions of the Ministry of Defense, main departments, commanders-in-chief of branches, commanders of branches of the Armed Forces and regional commands of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 4) commanders (heads) of military units (institutions), heads of military educational institutions and local military administration bodies. Together with the medal, the awardee is presented with a certificate of the established pattern. 5. The jubilee medal is presented in a solemn ceremony and is presented to the recipient personally. Before the award, the order of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan on awarding is announced. 6. The jubilee medal is worn on the left side of the chest. If there are state awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is placed after them. 7. A corresponding entry is made in the list for awarding the jubilee medal. Non-returned medals and certificates to them are returned to the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan with an indication of the reasons for the return, which is marked accordingly in the lists. The Personnel Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan keeps records of awards made, as well as reports on the awarding of jubilee medals.

The jubilee medal "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Karuli Kushterine 20 zhyl" is made of brass and has the shape of a circle with a diameter of 34 mm.
On the obverse of the medal there is a five-pointed convex red star with smooth dihedral rays, the sun and a soaring eagle. The national ornament is depicted around the star.
On the reverse side of the medal, there is an inscription with the date "Kazakhstan Republikasyn Karuli Kushteri 1992 - 2012" in a circle, the inscription "20 zhyl" is located in the center.
All the images and inscriptions on the medal are convex. The edges of the medal are bordered by a rim.
The medal is connected by means of an eyelet and a ring to a pentagonal pad 34 mm wide and 50 mm high, covered with a silk moire ribbon. In the middle of the ribbon there are three golden stripes 2 mm wide, between which there are two red stripes 2 mm wide, along the edges of the golden stripes there are blue stripes 9 mm wide. There are 2 mm wide green stripes along the edges of the ribbon. The width of the tape is 32 mm.
The medal is attached to the clothes with a pin.
