Article 11. Persons between whom marriage (matrimony) of the Marriage (Matrimony) and Family Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan is prohibited

     It is not allowed to conclude a marriage (matrimony) between:

     1) persons of the same sex;

     2) persons of whom at least one person is already in another registered marriage (matrimony);

     3) close relatives;

     4) adoptive parents and adopted children, children of adoptive parents and adopted children;

     5) persons, at least one of whom is recognized as legally incompetent due to mental illness or dementia by a court decision that has entered into force.
